49TH Annual Kona Coffee Cultural Festival


10 days of coffee events from Fri., Nov. 1 through Sun., Nov. 10. Everyone invited:

  • Kona Coffee Cupping Competition: Entries must be 100% Kona coffee grown in the district of Kona. Prestigious Kona Coffee Cupping Competition entries must be received by Fri., Oct. 25, 2019. Registration forms available at pacificcoffeeresearch.com/2019-kccf-cupping-registration

  • Lantern Parade: 6 p.m., Fri. Nov. 1. Community groups and individuals are invited to walk along Alii Drive in the glowing procession of light, music and color. This year parade participants can purchase luminary bags for $1 and decorate them prior to the parade. Deadline to enter parade is Fri., Oct. 25.   • KTA Super Stores Kona Coffee Recipe Contest: Got a favorite recipe using 100% Kona coffee? Enter the professional, amateur, culinary student or keiki divisions. Submit entry by Fri., Oct. 25 and receive a free 2019 Festival Button and a $25 KTA Super Store grocery certificate just for entering. Cash prizes and bragging rights for winners!   • Kona Coffee Lei Contest: Part of the Festival’s Hoolaulea at the Makaeo County Pavilion (Old Airport Park) on Sat., Nov. 9. Two categories: Wili and Kui. Entries must be submitted by 9 a.m. that day Makaeo Pavilion.
